About the Inn
When visitors to The Inn on Bath Creek comment on the great restoration, we have to tell them that although the home looks like one of the historic buildings of old Bath, the inn is actually only a few years old. Built in 1999 to be a bed and breakfast, the inn has the charm and detail of an older home with modern amenities like zoned heating, air-conditioning and bathrooms that were not converted from closets.

The property does have a long tradition of providing hospitality to travelers, however. We stand on the site of the old Buzzard Hotel (charming name, we know) a building that was roughly the same age as the nearby Bonner House. Efforts to secure the property for inclusion in the historic Bath site were unsuccessful and the hotel was demolished around 1980. Kudzu vines took over the property until the Brooks, a local family, envisioned and built the new inn.

About the Innkeepers
Since coming to Bath earlier this year, we have made the inn our own, decorating and adding personal touches. Like many of our guests, we were seeking an escape from the crazy pace of our lives and looking for a better quality of life. The best part is that we get to stay
more than a weekend. Both of us love the outdoors and the eastern coastal wetlands. Both of us spent time in small towns growing up and longed to get back to a place where the things we enjoy are right out the front door. Don’t be surprised if our neighbors treat you like old friends. They welcomed us the same way.
